I've moved from hands-on cloud architecture into IT leadership — today I run a 50-person IT organization at SimCorp, covering service delivery, cybersecurity, and infrastructure, with a background spanning the full platform stack: IaC, network and identity foundations, and data, mostly inside highly regulated environments like financial services. I lead by example and still step into delivery myself when it's needed, using that experience to set vision and direction rather than lead from a distance. I'm a strong advocate for microservice architecture, self-service enablement, and platform thinking — giving teams the autonomy and tooling to move fast without a central bottleneck, backed by automation and security built in by design.
